Dr. Melikian’s passion for alternative medicine stems from her own experience. As a teenager, she injured her knee and endured severe, unrelenting knee pain and swelling for years. Physical therapy did not help, and she was told she would need knee surgery at just sixteen years of age. Desperate, her family turned to an acupuncturist, and she recovered completely in just three treatments. Acupuncture saved her from knee surgery.
This experience inspired Dr. Melikian to help others avoid unnecessary suffering, drugs, and surgery. Her mission is to help educate her community about natural solutions for lasting health & wellness.
Dr. Melikian earned her Chiropractic Doctorate and her Masters in Acupuncture with Cum Laude honors from the National University of Health Sciences. She is certified in Professional Applied Kinesiology (PAK) and has attended over 550 hours of post-doctoral education in PAK and internal medicine. She has been in practice since 2008, and focusing on women’s health by integrating and applying her knowledge of acupuncture, nutrition, herbs, and chiropractic for a more comprehensive approach. She has also studied Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). And Dr. Melikian is certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in Webster Technique for helping pregnant women.
